Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers are critical to a successful event! We have lots of opportunities for people to support the event – whether that’s event preparation (pre-event work), or support during event days!
Volunteer opportunities include:
- Inventory & Event Preparation – assist with sorting inventory and setting up the event.
- Personal Shoppers – assisting clients as they “shop” at no cost! Personal Shoppers will work one-on-one with event attendees, helping to document and carry items. This is our greatest need!
- Traffic control – assist with guiding people and vehicles.

Breast Cancer Disparities in Arkansas
Arkansas faces a troubling breast cancer landscape. Despite having a slightly lower incidence rate than the national average, Arkansas ranks among the worst in the U.S. for mortality-to-incidence ratio – 7th overall, 5th among Black women, and 4th among White women. These disparities highlight a serious gap in equitable healthcare access and outcomes.
UBCF’s presence in Jonesboro is part of a broader mission to reduce these inequities through direct support, improved quality of life, and renewed hope for individuals impacted by breast cancer.
